Chukchi:
Chukchi people used to make an infusion out of the leaves as a substitute for tea. The name notachay means wild tea.
Чукчи заваривали листья этого растения как заменитель чая. Название нотачай по-чукотски означает «дикий чай».
Central Alaskan Yup’ik:
People used to harvest the flowers in the villages of Hooper Bay and Chevak and make a tea-like beverage. Only a few elders remember this practice now.
